A very valued customer of ours, Eileen Barber is taking part in the frightful challenge of a tandem sky dive. Eileen will be jumping for Bowel Cancer UK in memory of her husband Alan. The sky dive will take place on Sunday 18th September and we want to help raise as much money as we can for a great cause.
Eileen describes herself as an adrenalin junkie and although she is looking forward to the jump she is still filled with trepidation for the 2 mile fall. During the fall people can reach up to 120mph while free falling – we can imagine that’s a very different feeling to being in a Porsche at 120 mph.
Every penny counts and Eileen is hoping to gain donations for a cause very close to her and many others hearts. Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK after breast, lung and prostate, it is treatable and curable especially if diagnosed early. 41,000 people are diagnosed with Bowel Cancer every year, the number of people dying continues to fall, this is great news, however it is the second most common cause of cancer death in the UK behind lung cancer.
If you can spare a donation please help Eileen in her quest to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK. Her just giving page link can be found below.
