Push Your Limits or Tour The World?

Through World of BMW you can do everything from grand tours around the new and old worlds to weeks of training your off-road skills before heading off on a hard riding adventure, but which one is right for you? Maybe you’re up for a bit of both, but deciding where to start is always important. Below are just a couple of our favourite adventures and tours that are coming up.

BMW TOURS - For those wishing to enjoy the scenery and culture a little more there’s BMW Tours, offering trips everywhere from Spain to Vietnam and ‘el Fin del Mundo’, or ‘The End of the World’. BMW Tours focus on seeing all the country has to offer and soaking up every last bit of culture from the comfort of a BMW. These tours are all about forming memories, making friends and making the most of the roads in front of you at your own pace. Here's just a small sample of the extensive range of tours offered by BMW Tours.

Arrive on Spain’s northern coast fresh from the ferry and begin to trace a beautiful tarmac route through the Picos Europa and Sierras de Gredas mountains as you head for the wonderful cities of Leon, Salamanca and Caceres en route to Seville. UNESCO listed Caceres is enchanting and the Plaza Mayor in Salamanca is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful town squares in Spain. With a long and fascinating history, Seville is a blend of Spanish, Islamic and Moorish architecture and culture.

The highlight of the tour is undoubtedly the world famous Easter Parades, it does not matter what your religion or beliefs are, you can’t help but be moved by the spectacle and devotion. Young men have battled for the honour of being allowed to help carry marble altars weighing many tons through the streets, the devoted are in full dress as Nazareno priests wear their robes and capirote progress through the town. Find a nice tapas bar on the route and settle in for this most awe inspiring festival to pass you as you sip a glass of Rioja.

The route from Seville isn’t to be scoffed at either and includes the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the famous Ronda Valley road. Turning back north, deserted roads through stunning scenery are waiting for you, with stops to visit Trujillo, Toledo and Lerma breaking up the riding.

Paradors and 4-star hotels form the majority of the accommodation on tour, your comfort is ensured.

OFF ROAD SKILLS GUIDED ADVENTURES - Off Road Skills, run by Dakar legend Simon Pavey, are best known for their Off Road Skills courses run out of South Wales but they also offer a number of guided off-road riding adventures to put those skills into action or you can rent your own bike and set off into the Welsh wilderness. Get on your bike and head into the wilderness of Wales, Spain or even Australia and push yourself and your riding ability while exploring rarely used areas. It's all about dirt roads and an exciting time on the bike as you follow and learn from the best. If you like off-roading but haven't pushed the adventure boat out, then these are the perfects trips to get you going.

Nobody said being an adventurer had to mean roughing it. We’ll happily sleep in a bush to get to the best riding spots, just ask Simon Pavey about his Australian escapades. But when epic off-road trails land you right on the doorstep of luxury Parador hotels set in historic castles and the like, well, who would turn down a touch of the high life?

The Spanish Adventure travels between luxury accommodation and the riding terrain changes each day. From woodland trails, to open flowing gravel tracks through to dramatic mountain passes – the variety of riding on this trip is immense. To make the most of the trip, the groups are kept small – there are a few places left for this October’s adventure so book now to avoid disappointment. Epic trails only taste sweeter when they lead to fine food and wine in a castle.

Off Road Skills in South Wales have a fleet of brand new BMW road rental bikes available and ready to go with a GPS full of the best rides in the region. There’s the R 1200 R, for enjoying the twisties all the way to the beach, the R 1200 GS for those who just can't get enough of the adventure life and an S 1000 XR for those who want to know what a 160hp adventure bike feels like.
