Esmee Hawkey, a Chislehurst-based driver will be one of the first lucky drivers in the country to race the highly anticipated Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport.
We are delighted at Porsche Centre Tonbridge to be supporting young Esmee along the way as she competes in the GT Cup Championship. At 18 years of age, Esme is the youngest female Porsche GT driver in the UK, racing on three Grand Prix Circuits.
We love her ambition and passion for what she does and where she wants to be. Esmee’s dream is to join a manufacturer’s race programme and has recently spent time with ex-Formula One driver and current FIA World Endurance champion Mark Webber, at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone as part of their Get Race Fit programme.
The programme is run by Porsche’s Human Performance Centre and Esmee joined the current Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain scholar and the 2016 BRDC superstar drivers.
Esmee said: “It’s really great to have Porsche Centre Tonbridge on board as a partner, this is a new chapter in my racing career and I’m very keen to get started. Porsche is a fantastic brand to work with so I’m really happy to have partnered up with Porsche Centre Tonbridge for the next step of my racing journey”.
Look out for Esmee as she will begin testing in April with her first race taking place at Donnington Park on the 23 and 24 April. You can also catch her at the legendary Brands Hatch on the 7 and 8 May.
