We invite you to join us as we celebrate 20 years of Harley-Davidson in Newmarket. The event, which starts at 11am on Saturday 18 June, is open to all with a charity BBQ starting at 11.30am and live music from Ratzinasack from 12 noon.
The dealership in Black Bear Lane, first opened its doors in 1996 and many of the original staff are still part of the now 21-strong team of local employees. The business, originally known as Black Bear H-D was bought by the Lind Group in October 2013 as part of the growing family group’s expansion.
The group already owned Harley-Davidson dealerships in Guildford and Reading and were confident that, with the support of the longstanding, experienced, local staff, they could continue to run a successful business in Newmarket. Since then, Lind Group has also opened a satellite store in Norwich supported from our Newmarket dealership so we can better serve Harley-Davidson owners across the whole of East Anglia.
In addition to the food and entertainment, visitors will also be able to take advantage of exclusive offers on clothing and accessories as well as deals on new and used bikes. Plus, MAG Europe will be in attendance with a display truck showing many of its major brands including Vance & Hines, Roland Sands, Burly, Mustang, Performance Machine and Kuryakyn. Jekyll & Hyde the Exhaust supplier will also be here with their display truck
Garry Knowles, Dealer Principal from Newmarket and Norwich Harley-Davidson said: “Having bought my first H-D from Newmarket within the first week of the store opening, the Team and I are absolutely delighted to be celebrating such a momentous milestone for the dealership and hope that local riders and residents will come along to help mark the occasion.”
Russ Dacre MBE, Owner and Managing Director of the Lind Group said: “We are very proud to be associated with one of the oldest dealerships in the UK and still have most of the original team some 20 years on. The team has grown over the years to 21 full time employees and now has more than 230 years combined experience of the Harley-Davidson brand and motorcycles.”
