RACER 7 GT delivers the ultimate CP2 sport touring experience whether it’s riding the long way home after work or embarking on a cross-continent trip. With exclusive GT features including hard side cases, taller screen, heated grips and powered by a thrilling 690cc engine, the GT is ready to tour.
Beauty in every ride
The TRACER 7’s 690cc EU5+ CP2 engine is stacked with linear torque that comes alive throughout the rev range for impressive acceleration, while a revised chassis with increased rigidity and adjustable upside-down front forks provide enhanced road-holding performance to slice through every curve.
Dynamic forward-motion bodywork with dual LED headlights and animated position lights solidify its cutting-edge look, while a refined riding position with adjustable seat height, enhanced screen, Y-CCT throttle, riding modes, and Cruise Control make the TRACER 7 ready to conquer any road trip.
Features
A new era of riding with Y-AMT
Revolutionising the way we ride, Y-AMT offers an even more dynamic and exhilarating ride with unmatched levels of comfort and practicality – and TRACER 7 can be equipped with Y-AMT to experience this new dimension. Choose between manual shifting via a finger-operated see-saw switch, or opt for a fully automatic transmission when you need to. Whether you take the bike on everyday sporty rides, challenging commutes or long-distance tours, Y-AMT introduces a whole new element of enjoying the Roads of Life.
New dynamic and aggressive TRACER styling
The TRACER 7 blends dynamic and sporty styling with a functional, compact design to give the appearance of forward motion, even at a standstill. New LED headlights with sharp position lights with a fade-in animation enhance the models futuristic front end, while a sleek, minimal LED taillight complements its slim, sporty profile.
Electronic throttle, YRC riding modes and switchable TCS
YCC-T (Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle) unlocks a new generation of rider aids and contributes to an even more linear power delivery. Yamaha Ride Control (YRC) gives you the choice of two throttle maps and switchable traction control, with the option of a customisable YRC mode to tailor the TRACER 7’s performance to your exact needs.
Modern, Adjustable suspension
New adjustable 41mm ‘upside down’ forks offer high levels of control and feel for enhanced road-holding performance while complementing the TRACER 7’s image as a serious sport tourer. A monocross linked-type rear shock, adjustable for both preload and rebound damping contributes to a perfect blend of comfort and responsiveness for long-distance sporty rides.
Cruise Control as standard
The TRACER 7 comes with Cruise Control as standard, allowing you to chill out and enjoy the long miles and arrive at the twisty roads refreshed and ready to go. Available from third gear and above 40km/h, it can be adjusted in increments of 1km/h or 10 km/h, depending on the road situation.
Revised chassis and swingarm with increased rigidity
The TRACER 7’s high tensile steel backbone chassis provides improved rigidity and excellent stability, even when carrying luggage or a pillion. Its 40mm longer swingarm is designed to balance seamlessly with the updated front forks, enhancing confidence in high-speed corners while retaining the bike’s agile, fun-to-ride character.
Larger 18L ergonomic fuel tank
Covering more miles on the TRACER 7 just got easier with a larger 18L fuel tank, sculpted for an excellent fit to the rider’s lower body to make mounting and dismounting even easier. Textured grips below the tank’s wider shoulders enhance the feeling of being one with the bike while solidifying the TRACER 7’s ability to put the sport into touring.
5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, navigation and ergonomic switchgear
The TRACER 7’s 5-inch colour TFT display comes with multiple themes and smartphone connectivity via the free MyRide app, so you can listen to music as well as view call and message notifications. Full map and turn by turn navigation is available through the free Garmin StreetCross app, all of which can be controlled through the new ergonomic switchgear.
Intuitive switch gear and auto cancel indicators
New ergonomic switchgear clusters enable intuitive and easy operation of the TRACER 7’s functions, including smartphone connectivity features, Yamaha Ride Control settings and Cruise Control. New self cancelling turn signls offer three-flash function for when changing lanes, plus an emergency flash function to alert other road users during an emergency stop.
Radially mounted four-piston dual front disc brakes
Providing next level stopping power, the third generation TRACER 7 features large twin discs gripped by radially mounted 4-piston brake calipers. The design facilitates strong and consistent braking performance thanks to the increased rigidity, which ensures forces are equally distributed under heavy braking.
Torque-rich 690cc EU5+ CP2 engine
At the TRACER 7's heart beats the characterful 690cc CP2 parallel-twin. Renowned for smooth and powerful torque delivery, the latest EU5+ upgrades boost pulling power and deliver an even more addictive exhaust note. A new A&S (Assist and Slipper) clutch ensures excessive engine braking during sportier riding is smoothed out for greater control and feel.
Adjustable seat height and improved ergonomics
The TRACER 7’s new wider handlebars and adjustable two-part seat creates a more commanding, confidence-inspiring ride. Taller riders can raise the seat by 20mm for a custom fit, while maintaining the accessible 830mm standard height. Pillions also get an upgrade with a larger, more comfortable seat and enhanced pillion assist grips for a secure, relaxed ride.
Wind Protection and knuckle visor
The TRACER 7 delivers excellent wind protection through an enhanced screen that reduces airflow on the body and wind noise to help limit fatigue on the long tours or early morning commutes. New stylish yet tough knuckle visor also keeps your hands enclosed for excellent protection from the elements.
