The city doesn’t sleep; it just waits for the noise to change. Beneath the glaring streetlights of West London, the tarmac looks slick, black and endless; a concrete proving ground for a machine built to dominate it. Out from the workshop bays of Triumph West London rolls the latest creation from Stockwell Design: the Spectre T120B, a reimagined 2026 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black.
This is no polite nod to heritage nostalgia. This is Stockwell’s signature DNA distilled into steel, rubber and dark intent. Aggressive, urban and undeniably moody, the Spectre sits low with an all-terrain posture that looks as ready to tear up loose gravel as it does to carve through tight city traffic.
Every silhouette tells a story, and this one begins at the tail. The build makes extensive use of complementary hardware from Motone, centred around their sleek Cortado subframe and seat conversion kit. This tightens the Bonneville’s traditionally relaxed rear frame into a more aggressive profile. The saddle itself, custom-reshaped and reupholstered in a high-contrast blend of deep black vinyl and tactile Alcantara, strikes a balance between raw streetfighter utility and high-end craftsmanship.
To withstand the demands of urban riding, the suspension setup has been completely overhauled. The stock arrangement makes way for high-performance FOX Racing rear shocks and Öhlins FSK120 front fork internals, complete with preload adjusters, giving the rider sharper feedback whether soaking up pothole-ridden asphalt or carving through sweeping bends.
Up front, the cockpit encourages a more active, forward-leaning riding position. Fitted with Bobber Street Fighter handlebars, the Spectre puts control directly into the rider's hands, complemented by adjustable Triumph brake and clutch levers for precise modulation. Motone bar-end mirrors sit low against the motorcycle's streetfighter silhouette, while Triumph heated grips provide a welcome touch of practicality when late-night rides turn cold.
The front end is further refined with a Motone short front fender, Raisch headlamp grille and Motogadget mini turn signals, maintaining the stripped-back aesthetic without compromising the motorcycle's everyday usability. A pair of PIAA spot lamps completes the setup, adding another purposeful detail to the Spectre's unmistakably urban character.
Connecting the Bonneville's torque to the road, the original factory tyres have been replaced with aggressive Mitas Enduro Trail rubber. Chosen for their rugged character and all-terrain capability, the tyres introduce a more purposeful stance while providing versatility across tarmac and loose surfaces.
To complement the upgraded suspension and tyres, Galfer Wave brake discs have been fitted front and rear. Their distinctive notched profiles reinforce the motorcycle's aggressive appearance while providing improved braking performance and heat management. A D.I.D gold chain and billet black rear sprocket complete the final-drive upgrades, introducing a subtle contrast against the otherwise dark mechanical components.
And then comes the crescendo: the custom exhaust system handcrafted by Hitchcox. A full-system drag pipe setup finished entirely in heat-resistant, satin Black Cerakote, the exhaust delivers an unmistakably sinister appearance alongside a visceral soundtrack. The free-flowing pipes give the Bonneville's parallel-twin engine a deeper, more aggressive voice, perfectly suited to the Spectre's darker character.
Elsewhere, a carefully selected collection of Motone components continues the transformation. Ribbed clutch, alternator and TPS covers, alongside matching intake covers, bring additional texture to the engine, while a Motone Defender sump guard reinforces the bike's rugged intentions. A Motone Union Flag radiator cover adds a subtle reference to the Bonneville's British heritage, ensuring that even beneath the Spectre's aggressive exterior, its origins remain unmistakable.
The custom paint is always the cherry on the cake, and for Stockwell Design, there is one team trusted to bring these distinctive finishes to life: Image Design London. Having worked on countless Stockwell custom builds over the years, their craftsmanship turns carefully considered design concepts into beautifully executed paintwork.
For the Spectre T120B, the chosen combination is Magno Selenite Grey Pearl and Denim Black. The muted, satin sheen of the pearl grey catches the light with a subtle lustre, while the deep Denim Black creates a striking contrast across the motorcycle's bodywork. It's an understated combination, but one that works particularly well alongside the Black Cerakote exhaust, darkened engine components and contrasting textures of the custom saddle.
Nothing feels excessive. Every finish has its place, allowing the motorcycle's proportions, mechanical details and carefully selected components to speak for themselves. Standing beneath the streetlights of West London, Stockwell Design's Spectre T120B is a masterclass in urban attitude, combining modern performance, purposeful engineering and the unmistakable character of a custom Bonneville.
A darker interpretation of a British classic, built for the rider who sees the city as their own playground.
The Spectre T120B proves that even the most established British classics can take on an entirely new attitude. From aggressive styling and performance upgrades to bespoke finishes and handcrafted details, every Stockwell Design custom is built around the rider.
