On Sunday the 27th of September, we are teaming up to ride solo in The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride with fellow men and women across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men's mental health on behalf of Movember.
David Birtwistle of Netflix's 'Too Hot To Handle', who has become a good friend of LIND, heard about the initiative and is excited to announce that he will be joining Team LIND for this years charity ride!
Men die on average 6 years earlier than women and for largely preventable reasons. The number of men that are suffering is growing, and we need to do something about that. So, before we press our tweed and polish our boots, we are asking you to join us in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating what you can for this meaningful cause and to help the men we love, live happier and healthier lives.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride unites classic and vintage style motorcycle riders all over the world to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic bike and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives.
The 2020 ride will be a solo event to comply with all local social distancing restrictions. There will be no mass-participation event - but just because we're not riding in groups doesn't mean we're not riding! 2020 is our year to prove how connected and caring we are. This is our year to Ride Solo, Together.
