Born from Yamaha’s iconic R-Series legacy, the new 2026 Yamaha R7 blends advanced electronics, refined agility, and striking design to bring Supersport performance into everyday riding.
Proven on both road and track, the R7 continues to redefine the Supersport class for a new generation of riders. It now evolves further with R1-inspired electronics, refined handling, and bold anniversary colours that capture Yamaha’s racing heritage while pushing performance into the future.
Racing has always been at the heart of Yamaha’s DNA, and the new R7 carries that spirit forward by combining the proven CP2 powerplant with R1-derived technology and finely tuned geometry for an agile, confidence-inspiring ride that thrills on every twist and turn.
Next-generation R-Series design gives the new R7 a sharper, more dynamic edge. Its revised frame, fully adjustable suspension, and lightweight SpinForged wheels with Bridgestone S23 tyres deliver precise control and smooth, responsive handling that make every corner a joy to carve.

2026 also marks a major milestone: 70 years of Yamaha Motor Company, and the celebrations are continuing in style. The new R7 proudly joins the Supersport range in a striking 70th Anniversary white-and-red livery, inspired by the revolutionary machines of the 1990s that helped define Yamaha’s racing legacy.
The anniversary colours feature a mix of Qualitative Pearlish White, vivid Sporty Red, and deep Black, which are completed by the historic Yamaha speedblock graphics, instantly evoking the look of Yamaha’s race-winning legends.
These colours first appeared earlier this year when the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team and Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP Team ran special liveries at the TT Circuit Assen, kicking off Yamaha’s anniversary celebrations. The tribute continued across championships, with the Yamaha Racing Team and YART debuting the same design at the Suzuka 8 Hour, and the FIM Superbike and FIM Supersport World Championship teams showcasing it at Circuito de Jerez.
For 2026, the R125, R3, new R7, and the award-winning R9 will all be available in this head-turning anniversary colourway for a unifying celebration of Yamaha’s heritage, performance, and passion for racing.
