Custom Triumph Banshee T120: Blacked-out Intent, Laced with a Whisper of Gold

There’s something unmistakably powerful about a motorcycle that doesn’t shout, but broods. The Banshee T120, built in collaboration between Stockwell Design and Triumph London, is a shadow-driven evolution of the Triumph Bonneville T120.

Where the standard model leans into heritage chrome and polished nostalgia, the Banshee strips that back in favour of blacked-out intent, laced with just a whisper of gold. This isn't a cosmetic exercise; it’s a recalibration.

At first glance, the Banshee feels industrial, purposeful, and composed. Denim Black and Vivid Black dominate the bodywork, layered with Dakar Gold accents that surface subtly rather than scream for attention. Gloss-black aluminium rims are laced to gold hubs, creating contrast without disrupting the visual mass. A D.I.D gold chain and black billet rear sprocket echo the theme at the rear wheel.

Blacked-out throttle bodies, engine cases, brightwork, and a black 4-bar tank badge further tighten the silhouette. The effect isn’t flamboyant, but deliberate, through engineered restraint.

As we've come to expect with any Stockwell custom, the transformation goes far beyond finish.

Up front, Öhlins FSK120 fork internals sharpen feedback and front-end control, paired with Black DLC-coated stanchions that reduce friction while reinforcing the stealth aesthetic. At the rear, fully adjustable Fox Racing shocks replace the standard units, bringing precision and composure under load.

The result is a Bonneville that feels tighter and more deliberate; less boulevard cruiser, more back-road predator.
 

The full unrestricted Spark Hot Rod exhaust system rewrites the T120’s voice entirely. The 1200cc parallel twin exhales with authority, emitting a deep, resonant growl that feels thick and mechanical rather than theatrical. It doesn’t scream for attention, but rumbles with intent.

Paired with Galfer wave brake discs front and rear and Heidenau K60 Scout tyres, the Banshee carries its aggression into both braking and grip. Function meets form, without excess.

Motogadget Mo-Blaze indicators keep lighting discreet and precise. A BAAK headlamp bracket sharpens the front profile, while Triumph Bobber handlebars subtly adjust posture and presence. Motone bar-end mirrors, tail tidy, radiator guard, and chain guard refine the finish without overwhelming it.

Every component feels considered. Nothing decorative. Nothing accidental.

What defines the Banshee T120 is its duality. It retains the classic Bonneville proportions, with upright ergonomics, twin shocks, and timeless tank lines, yet feels entirely modern in attitude. Brutal without being loud. Elegant without being delicate.

In a market crowded with customs chasing spectacle, the Banshee stands apart by distillation. It doesn’t reinvent the Bonneville, but concentrates it. And in doing so, it proves that sometimes the strongest statement is made in black, with just a hint of gold.
