Never ridden a motorcycle? Don't sweat it. Our New Rider Course is designed to get you comfortable on a bike and give you all the skills you need to ride with confidence. Our course provides you with expert guidance from certified coaches as you get to know the motorcycle you'll be riding and learn the basics of rider safety skills. Even better, you'll have a brand new Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ waiting for you, ready to ride once you've passed.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
On the practice range, you'll learn braking, turning, manoevers, clutch control and gears. When you're finished you'll go for your CBT and road traning to get your test ready. When you have passed your riding test we have a great package to get you started on your new Harley-Davidson® journey.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our rider package includes CBT and ready for riding test; the new Harley-Davidson® Nightster™ model (A2 licence ready); Helmet; Jacket; Boots and Gloves. We have a PCP deal of a £1,425 deposit followed by 48 monthly payments of £199.78 and an optional final payment of £8,188. 8.9 APR. Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)
CBT is an introductory training course that anyone wishing to take on a full motorcycle test must first successfully complete. In a CBT you'll learn 5 different elements including:
A: Making suitable decisions about equipment, clothing and meeting the eyesight rules.
B: How the motorcycle works, what maintenence checks are needed, and getting a feel for the weight and balance of the vehicle.
C: Carrying out manoeuvers safely and under full control, using the breaks, changing gear, and carrying out observations.
D: Meeting the legal requirements to ride, attitude, positioning, seperation distances, speed, anticipating what other road users may do, and preparing for developing hazards.
E: Riding in typical traffic conditions (including traffic lights, roundabouts, junctions, pedestrian crossings, gradients, and abends), and carrying out a u-turn and a emergency stop.

Theory and Hazard Perception Test
Before you can take your Module 1 & 2 motorcycle tests you must have a Motorcycle Theory and Hazard Perception Test pass (along with a valid CBT certificate).
The test lasts 57 minutes max. and has a multi-choice question part and a video based hazard perception part.

Module 1 & 2 Tests
The Mod 1 motorcycle test is designed to test your manual handling, slow speed control, general control and hazard avoidance on the motorcycle. The test takes place off road on an area known as the Motorcycle Manoeuvring Area (MMA) and is conducted by a DVSA examiner. It lasts about 20 minutes.
You must pass Module 1 before you can take the Module 2 test. The Module 2 test normally takes about 40 minutes and includes: an eyesight check; a show me, tell me, vehicle saftey question; road riding and independent riding.
